Trump Boosted By Anti-Biden Sentiment In Recent Polls

Former President Donald Trump received positive news from a number of recent polls indicating that more Americans said that they would not vote for President Joe Biden than himself. The surveys also follow several other polls showing Trump leading both nationally and in a number of crucial swing states.

Three polls since late last year indicated that more voters said they would never vote for Biden rather than never voting for Trump. The most recent New York Times/Siena poll indicated that 52% of Americans said that they would never cast a ballot for Biden. This compares to 46% who said the same about Trump.

Furthermore, Trump has received a boost both in his personal favorability ratings and of voters’ assessment of his four years in office. Several polls have shown that voters generally see Trump’s tenure much more positively than that of Biden.

A recent Echelon Insights poll showed Trump leading Biden by 3%.

In addition, Trump has led in most national and swing state polls over the last several months. The most recent Emerson College/The Hill Poll indicated potentially bad news for Biden.

The former president is leading in Arizona by 4% over Biden. Biden narrowly carried the state in 2020.

Trump is also leading in Georgia by 3% despite Biden winning there four years ago. Trump is also ahead in Michigan by 1% after carrying the state in 2016 and narrowly losing it four years ago. He also leads in Nevada by 1%, which corresponds with another recent poll showing an even larger lead.

The former president also leads in North Carolina by 5%. Biden trails in Pennsylvania by 2% while Trump leads by the same margin in Wisconsin.

The former president leads in the swing states among all voters ut received a significant boost from independent voters. The former president leads among independents in all but two of the swing states.

Furthermore, the president has lost significant ground to Trump among Black, young and Latino voters.
