Cruz Says More Terrorists Will Enter US If Harris Wins

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) stated this week that explosive testimony from a former top U.S. border official indicates that if Vice President Kamala Harris wins the election this fall, more terrorists could enter the country through the southern border.

Cruz made these comments during his “Verdict” podcast with co-host Ben Ferguson, discussing retired San Diego Border Patrol Chief Aaron Heitke’s testimony to the Homeland Security Committee. Heitke noted a significant increase in arrests of individuals with ties to terrorism, stating, “Prior to this administration, the San Diego sector averaged 10 to 15 SIA arrests per year. Once word was out the border was far easier to cross, San Diego went to over 100 SIAs in 2022, well over that in 2023, and even more than that registered this year.”

Heitke added that he was instructed not to release information about this increase as the Biden-Harris administration sought to convince the public there was no threat at the border.

Cruz described the surge in suspected terrorists crossing the border as “massive,” emphasizing the implications of the statistics. “That means hundreds and hundreds of suspected terrorists coming in just one sector, and those are the ones they caught. It doesn’t count the ones they didn’t catch. He wasn’t allowed to say that publicly,” Cruz said.

He criticized the Democrats for prioritizing politics over public safety. “Look, I get why the Biden White House didn’t want people to know it, but we now have this testimony in the House of Representatives,” he remarked. “How is it that it’s not on the front page of the Houston Chronicle tomorrow?”

Cruz urged listeners to raise awareness, asserting that if Harris were to become president, the situation would worsen. “If Kamala Harris is president, more terrorists will enter the country. More murders, more rapists, more child molesters, more Americans will die if Kamala Harris is president,” he added.
