Taylor Swift thanks fans for Grammy nominations milestone

During her first Toronto Eras Tour concert, Taylor Swift shared her heartfelt response to her groundbreaking Grammy nominations with her devoted audience.

The megastar addressed her fans during the surprise song segment, expressing her gratitude for their incredible support over recent months.

“You guys did something so amazing over the course of the last few months.

“I just mean what you did with embracing ‘The Tortured Poets Department,’ the album. It’s truly blown my mind because it’s really emotional for me that this album, I wrote it during the Eras Tour,” she shared, according to social media footage.

The acclaimed artist described how she crafted the album discreetly while touring, working behind the scenes to incorporate it into her show as a special surprise for her fanbase.

She acknowledged her supporters’ role in achieving her biggest album debut to date, maintaining the top chart position for almost four months. The singer particularly highlighted their contribution to securing six Grammy nominations.

“And you kept that album at No. 1 for nearly four months. And the most recent thing that you did, because everything that happens is a direct reflection of the passion that you show, is you guys got this album nominated for six Grammys. It’s so unbelievable, so thank you.”

Swift’s latest nominations have cemented her place in music history, making her the first female artist to receive seven album of the year nominations at the Grammys. Her previous win for “Midnights” marked her fourth victory in this prestigious category.

The nominations span multiple categories, including record of the year, song of the year, and best pop vocal album for “The Tortured Poets Department,” along with best music video for “Fortnight.” She’s also recognized in the best pop duo/group performance category for her collaboration with Gracie Abrams.

The pop icon faces strong competition from industry heavyweights including Beyoncé and Billie Eilish in the album of the year category.

Currently performing at Toronto’s Rogers Centre for six shows across two weekends, Swift will conclude her global tour with three performances in Vancouver beginning December 6.
