Virginia Homeowner Shoots Intruder in Self-Defense

A homeowner in Fairfax, Virginia, shot an alleged intruder multiple times during an early morning break-in attempt on Wednesday, sending the suspect to the hospital with serious injuries.

The incident began around 2:30 a.m. when the homeowner contacted emergency services to report someone attempting to force entry into their residence. During the ongoing 911 call, the suspect continued their efforts to break in, prompting the homeowner to discharge their firearm.

The alleged intruder sustained life-threatening wounds and was transported to a local medical facility, where they remained in critical condition. Law enforcement revealed that prior to this incident, the suspect had already committed an assault at a nearby residence.

Everyone inside the home where the shooting occurred emerged from the situation unharmed.

In a separate incident, another act of self-defense occurred at an Alabama gas station when a clerk fatally shot an alleged robber wielding a knife. The incident took place around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday. The deceased suspect was later identified as Timothy Jones, a 44-year-old resident of Hale County, Alabama, who lost his life during the attempted robbery.
