TV Host: Democrats Must Fight Harder Against Trump

Sunny Hostin’s latest comments on *The View* have raised eyebrows once again, as the co-host continues to make increasingly extreme statements.

During Friday’s episode, Hostin suggested that Democrats should emulate the civil rights generation’s willingness to “fight and die” in their opposition to Donald Trump. Her inflammatory remarks came during a discussion about Texas Representative Al Green’s disruption of President Trump’s congressional address, which resulted in his removal and subsequent censure.

“They should be ashamed of themselves,” Hostin said of the Democrats. “They all should have walked out with him.”

She went on:

They don’t know how to fight and be part of an opposition party. Representative Green gave them the example. The Democrats are not meeting the moment.
>
> It is very clear that Medicaid is on the table. It is very clear that Social Security is on the table. It is very clear that people will die.
>
> The Baby Boomers, the civil rights generation — they knew what they had to do. They were willing to fight and die for their rights.
>
> This generation of Congress, they are not meeting the moment. This is an existential crisis.

This isn’t the first time Hostin has made controversial statements, particularly regarding Republicans and Donald Trump. Earlier, during the fourth anniversary of January 6th, she drew a startling comparison between the Capitol protests and historical atrocities like the Holocaust.

After declaring the events “one of the worst moments in American history,” she proceeded to place it alongside tragedies such as World War II, the Holocaust, and chattel slavery, insisting that these events must never be forgotten.

In another instance before the election, Hostin drew parallels between Trump’s policies and Nazi Germany’s Kristallnacht, the infamous Night of Broken Glass that preceded the Holocaust. She specifically referenced Trump’s stance on police immunity, suggesting it could lead to similar historical atrocities.
