Trump Draws Large Crowd In New Jersey

Former President Donald Trump was greeted by tens of thousands of supporters during a weekend rally in New Jersey. The former president’s appearance comes as he promised to make a push for a number of states that traditionally vote for Democratic Party candidates, including his former home state of New York.

The former president predicted that his campaign would win the state. He was joined by a number of prominent Republicans, including Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ). The representative said that the Saturday event was the largest political rally in the state’s history.

Overall, Trump was joined by up to 100,000 supporters.

“I think we’re going to win them all. All across America, millions of people, so-called blue states, are joining our movement based on love, intelligence and a thing called common sense,” said Trump.

The size of the crowd in the state that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Joe Biden won in 2016 and 2020 immediately drew attention.

Trump sharply criticized Biden, blaming him for the high inflation of the previous three years. The former president said that the “price hikes are continuing to drain over $1,000 from the typical New Jersey family budget every single month.”

“On day one, we will throw out Bidenomics, and we will reinstate MAGAnomics,” Trump said. “And we’re going to bring manufacturing, tourism and other industries back to New Jersey like we’ve never seen before.”

Trump cited a number of events during Biden’s tenure, including the withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021 and significant issues at the southern border. Trump also said that these issues and the economy are examples of poor management by Democrats.

Trump also said that Biden was “surrendering our college campuses to anarchists, jihadist freaks and anti-American extremists who are trying to tear down our American flag. They want to tear down every single place they go.”

The former president also called on Biden to return donations from “of all antisemites, American haters and financiers of chaos on our campuses.”
