Trump says media bias influences judges unfairly

In a scathing critique of mainstream media outlets, former President Donald Trump launched a fierce attack on what he perceives as coordinated propaganda efforts by major news networks. During a significant address at the Department of Justice, Trump specifically targeted CNN and MSNBC, accusing them of engaging in biased reporting and potentially illegal practices.
The former president expressed his conviction that these networks function more as political operatives than legitimate news organizations, claiming they present overwhelmingly negative coverage of him regardless of circumstances. “I believe that CNN and MSDNC, who literally write 97.6% bad about me, are political arms of the Democrat Party. And in my opinion, they’re really corrupt, and they’re illegal. What they do is—it’s legal,” Trump stated.
The Executive Branch cannot properly function if activist liberal judges can unilaterally block presidential actions over the entire country.

Expanding on his concerns, Trump emphasized the media’s alleged impact on the judicial system. “These networks and these newspapers are really no different than a highly paid political operative, and it has to stop. It has to be illegal. It’s influencing judges, and it’s really changing the law. And it just cannot be legal. I don’t believe it’s legal. And they do it in total coordination with each other,” he declared.
The former president highlighted his administration’s commitment to reforming American institutions, stating, “Everything we do, we’re restoring law, restoring order, and restoring public safety in America. We’re bringing honor and integrity and accountability back to the highest levels of the FBI, DOJ, and throughout our government. We’re working so hard at doing it, and we want fairness in the courts. The courts are a big factor.”

These accusations come amid ongoing legal challenges facing Trump, with his supporters arguing that left-leaning judges, prosecutors, and jury pools in Democratic-dominated jurisdictions have weaponized the justice system against conservative figures.
The situation reflects a broader pattern of conflict between Trump and mainstream media outlets, spanning from the Russia investigation through his impeachments and the January 6th proceedings. According to Trump’s perspective, these media organizations serve as propaganda tools for establishment interests while portraying him and his supporters as threats to democratic principles.
The former president’s criticisms highlight the deepening divide between conservative leadership and traditional media outlets, suggesting that their coverage actively undermines American institutional integrity by influencing public opinion and judicial proceedings.
