Trump Makes DRASTIC Changes Ahead Of Republican National Convention Speech

At least two GOP vice-presidential finalists have been informed they won’t be chosen as Donald Trump’s running mate.

Several news outlets reported that Trump would choose from a group of Republicans for his Vice President, including Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) or Governor Doug Burgum (R-ND).

Among other potential selections for the Vice President were Governor Glenn Youngkin (R-VA), Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH), and Senator Tim Scott (R-SC).

According to Fox News, Rubio was not chosen due to Constitutional issues as both he and Trump are from Florida.

“The source said that over the last 10 days or so the conversations between Rubio and team Trump focused on the constitutional concern about both men living in Florida,” one of the network’s reporter posted on X. “Fox is told both teams wanted to be more confident there wouldn’t be a legal fight over the issue and they couldn’t be 100% sure of that.”

In an interview on Sunday, Trump stated that he had to revise the theme of his scheduled speech at the Republican National Convention due to the horrific assassination attempt that occurred over the weekend. Initially Trump said he wanted to go after President Joe Biden during his speech.

“Honestly, it’s going to be a whole different speech now,” Trump said.

“It is a chance to bring the country together. I was given that chance,” he continued. “This is a chance to bring the whole country, even the whole world, together. The speech will be a lot different, a lot different than it would’ve been two days ago.”

Former President Trump officially announced JD Vance (R-OH) as his Vice President nominee for the upcoming 2024 election.
