Trump Leads Biden On Key Issues
A recent poll showed former President Donald Trump leading President Joe Biden on a number of issues important to Americans. The news came as Trump leads Biden in a significant majority of general election polls as well as a large number of state-level polls.
A recent ABC/Ipsos poll showed that Trump led on several crucial issues. according to the poll, Trump led Biden by a large margin regarding the economy. Trump led the question with 43%, compared to 31% for Biden.
Furthermore, Trump also had an even larger lead on the topic of crime. The former president received the trust of 41% of Americans on the subject while 28% said that they trusted Biden more.
Trump held an even larger lead on the topic of immigration, while also leading by 10% on the subject of inflation. Trump also led on the topics of gun violence and conflicts overseas. Biden led by narrower margins than some of Trump’s advantages except on the topic of climate change, which the president led by 17%.
Furthermore, the issues that Trump leads in are typically ones that Americans indicate drive their votes. In other recent surveys, voters indicated that the economy, inflation and illegal immigration were the three largest topics for them.
Trump has been leading the president in a number of states that will likely decide the Electoral College, including several that he lost in 2020.
A recent Echelon Insight poll showed that Trump holds a 4% lead over Biden nationally. This follows a January poll in which the former president led by 1% in January and was behind by 1% in December.

Trump currently leads Biden by more than 1% nationally, according to the RealClearPolitics average of polls.
The former president also holds a larger lead in several other surveys. A recent NBC News poll showed Trump leading by 5%, as did a Reuters/Ipsos poll last month. Furthermore, a CNN poll placed Trump 4% higher than the president.
