Stealthy Leftist BILLIONAIRE Infiltrating Churches

Daily Wire reporter Megan Basham explained on Sunday how billionaires like George Soros and Bill Gates are influencing Christian churches, encouraging congregants to adopt progressive political views.

Basham appeared on Fox News to promote her book, *Shepherds for Sale: How Evangelical Leaders Traded the Truth for a Leftist Agenda,* in which she details how progressive figures, including George Soros, the founder of eBay, and former Obama administration officials, have worked to transform the American church with the aim of aligning evangelicals with political agendas.

Released late last month, Basham’s book quickly became a bestseller on The New York Times and USA Today lists. She discussed the book with Fox News host Pete Hegseth over the weekend, focusing on the progressive shift in evangelical church leadership and how church leaders have capitulated to progressive political stances on issues like abortion.

“What we’re seeing is hard-left, secular foundations that are funded by non Christian billionaires like George Soros, Bill Gates, the Rockefellers, the Clinton Foundation – People who are not Christian, don’t claim to be Christian – they’re funneling money into these evangelical front groups,” Basham said.

These front groups subtly introduce progressive political agendas into Christian churches, often disguised as Bible studies and similar initiatives.

Basham uncovered that these groups are mobilized to shift the influential evangelical voting bloc to the left on issues such as climate change regulations and lenient border policies, which are contributing to widespread disorder.

“We’re talking about conservative churches, conservative ministries, and Christian college campuses to move that vote to the Harris-Walz ticket. None of these foundations promote anything that is remotely Christian in ethical or moral understanding. So, these are the same organizations that promote abortion up to birth [and] promote transgender treatments on children,” Basham continued.

The efforts of progressive billionaires and their front groups are making a noticeable impact on elections. According to Basham, in the 2020 election, millions of evangelical voters were swayed toward the Democratic Party as a result of the progressive movement’s attempt to influence Christian churches.

“A lot of Christians sitting in the pews are totally unsuspecting of it,” Basham said of the progressive effort. “And it’s important to know this because in 2020, a lot of analysts looked at the evangelical vote and they believe that just enough, just a few million were swung in swing states to give the election to Joe Biden.”
