Obama Seems to Have Second Thoughts About Backing Biden

Obama SKEPTICAL of BIDEN’S CHANCES

To further his campaign for reelection, President Biden has sought the support of A-list celebrities, one of whom is arguably the most prominent Democrat of all: former President Barack Obama.

However, it appears that even Obama may be skeptical of Biden’s chances of earning a second term in November following his clumsy performance in last week’s first presidential debate against former President Donald Trump.

The Washington Post reported that Obama informed private supporters that Biden’s chances of winning reelection have grown more challenging since Thursday. Obama also reportedly called Biden to offer additional words of encouragement following the debate.

A Biden campaign official stated that Obama had provided his former vice president with “unwavering” support; an Obama spokesperson remained silent on the comments made in private to the Post.

Lauren Hitt, a spokesman for the Biden campaign, stated, “President Biden is grateful for President Obama’s unwavering support since the very beginning of this campaign as both a powerful messenger to voters and a trusted adviser directly to the president.”

Obama has advised Biden to continue moving forward even though he hasn’t openly called for Biden to step down.

There are bad argument nights. I can assure you. After the debate, Obama posted on social media, saying, “But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself.”

“Between someone who is honest, who will tell the American people what is right and wrong, and someone who will lie to your face to further his personal agenda. That didn’t alter last night, which is why November holds so many important implications.”

This happened soon after Obama was said to have conceded that Trump could be able to win another term due to his political prowess.

Obama, who continues to be one of the most well-known figures in the Democratic Party, has recently been to two significant fundraisers for Biden. One of them was an elegant event held in March at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, where former President Bill Clinton also went.

Obama and Biden participated in a more than $30 million fundraising dinner in Los Angeles last month, which was sponsored by actors George Clooney and Julia Roberts.
