Netanyahu to Meet Trump at Mar-a-Lago, Biden at White House

NETANYAHU to VISIT Trump and Biden

Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, is scheduled to meet with Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, on Friday at his private property in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, according to two remarks that Trump posted on the social media site Truth Social.

After a period of several years during which Trump resented Netanyahu for congratulating President Joe Biden on his election victory in 2020, the meeting signifies a thaw in the relationship between Netanyahu and Trump. Both Trump and Netanyahu worked together well during the time that Trump was in the White House. Trump regularly referred to Netanyahu by his nickname, “Bibi,” in his posts.

At the same time, Netanyahu’s office announced that he would meet with President Biden at the White House on Thursday at 1 pm EDT. However, due to Biden’s bout with the coronavirus, their intended meeting for Tuesday was rescheduled.

Breitbart News reported on Monday that Netanyahu will also meet with Vice President Kamala Harris, who is now the presumed nominee for president of the Democratic Party following Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the race on Sunday. This meeting is expected to take place, however, a location and time have not been decided upon yet.

During the special joint session of Congress that will take place on Wednesday at 2 pm EDT, Netanyahu is set to deliver a speech. Harris has declined to serve as the session’s presiding officer claiming schedule constraints.

It is more probable that she is terrified of the anti-Israel left wing of her party, and she may be afraid that Netanyahu may devote some of his remarks to criticizing the administration’s policy on Israel.

The meeting between Netanyahu and Trump took place after Netanyahu made significant adjustments to his schedule. A meeting on Friday indicated that the leader of the Israeli government will be compelled to remain in the United States for a longer period of time than was initially intended, and he will not be able to leave until Saturday evening. This is due to the fact that the leader of the Israeli government prefers to avoid traveling during the Jewish Sabbath.
