Jennings Says Harris Economic Policy’ Scary As Hell’

CNN Republican commentator Scott Jennings remarked on Wednesday that Vice President Kamala Harris’ economic vision for America is not just bad but “horror movie bad.”

Jennings appeared alongside former Biden communications director Kate Bedingfield and CNN anchor Erin Burnett to discuss the latest swing state polling and the economic policies advocated by President Joe Biden and Harris’ presidential campaign.

He began the discussion by reviewing recent swing state polls, noting that a significant portion of the polls in 2016 and 2020 had been inaccurate. Despite the polling data, Jennings predicted “an incredibly close race” in the upcoming November election.

“Either of these candidates could win any of these states we’re talking about,” he said.

The conservative political commentator insisted that the best way to reach male voters who were “in the middle” would be to focus on the competing economic policies of President Joe Biden and now Harris and those represented by a second term under former President Donald Trump.

“I had to chuckle a little bit today, listening to [Harris] talk about her tax policy,” Jennings continued. “She’s like, ‘See, Joe Biden’s tax policies only going to kill you as much as, you know, Jason Voorhees. But I’m more like Mike Myers, see, isn’t that better?’ No, it’s not better! They’re both scary as hell, and either way, you’re going to be dead. And so, I think she’s going to have to come up with something a little better than ‘I’m going to raise your taxes a little less than Joe Biden is,” he concluded.

Burnett then interrupted, attempting to defend Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden by asserting that their tax policies were largely aligned, with the primary difference being proposals related to the taxation of unrealized capital gains.
