Illegal Immigrant Charged For Murdering Wife

An illegal immigrant is accused of brutally murdering his wife in front of their children, according to law enforcement. The arrest comes amid increased concern about a series of crimes committed by illegal immigrants as the flow of migrants into the country increased since President Joe Biden took office in 2021.

Law enforcement accused Baltazar Perez-Estrada of murdering his wife, Maricela Simon Franco last Sunday after a domestic incident. According to law enforcement, the suspect entered the Carol Stream, Illinois Police Department and stated that he stabbed his wife. He was taken into custody and police opened an investigation.

According to the police statement, Perez-Estrada stabbed his wife “dozens of times about her head, neck, body and hands, nearly decapitating her head.”

Franco was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect is also an illegal immigrant from Mexico who entered the country about two weeks ago. Perez-Estrada faces five murder counts and charges related to illegal entry into the country.

DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin said that the murder ” will not be tolerated and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Carol Stream Chief of Police Don Cummings said that the murder “robbed two young children of their mother.”

“As domestic violence continues to victimize so many, law enforcement within DuPage County stands ready to partner with available social service programs to provide a sustainable resolution to those in need,” the police chief said.

There have been more than seven million estimated migrant entries into the United States since Biden took office. This included the largest annual amount on record in 2023, breaking three million for the first time. December 2023 also saw the highest monthly record at more than 300,000.

The increase in migrants also coincides with a significant increase in crime caused by illegal aliens. This includes the high-profile attack on NYPD officers in Times Square earlier this year. A mob of young migrants attacked the officers, which was caught on video.

There have also been a number of murders caused by illegal immigrants in recent months.

New York City officials cited an increase in crime caused by the flow of migrants into the Big Apple. New York has taken in almost 200,000 migrants over the last two years.
