Trump Jumps To Lead In New Polls

Former President Donald Trump established a large lead over President Joe Biden in a number of recent polls, indicating that his support may be growing as he wins a number of Republican nominating contests. Furthermore, the polls also indicate weakening support for Biden among a number of demographic groups that traditionally have supported Democratic candidates.

The last several days have seen a number of new polls showing Trump with a considerable lead nationally. In addition, Trump has also taken the lead in most polls of crucial swing states, according to recent polls.

According to a new CBS News poll, Trump now holds a 4% lead nationally, including a raw majority of voters.

His 52-48% lead over Biden also includes a large win among independent voters. That group backed Trump by a margin of 15% with Trump gaining 57% to Biden’s 42%.

Furthermore, Trump won over voters on a number of other issues. When asked about which candidate would make prices go up, more than 20% of additional voters selected Biden. When asked about which president’s policies would make prices go down, Trump led by 27%.

When asked about which candidate “fights for people like you,” Trump received 48% of those polled. Biden came behind with just 42%.

Furthermore, when asked about the role of their presidencies, 46% of registered voters ranked Trump as “excellent” or “good,” while only 33% agreed with Biden. Furthermore, 67% of voters described Biden’s time in the White House as either “fair” or “poor.”

The poll also found large numbers of Americans believing that Biden’s policies on the border made things worse. A full 50% said that Biden’s approach led to more migrants entering the country, with only 22% disagreeing. When asked about whether Trump’s policies led to a reduction in migrant crossings, 72% agreed.

In addition, the former president is leading in a number of other polls. In a Fox News poll released over the weekend, Trump leads Biden 49-47%.

In another survey from the Wall Street Journal, Trump is leading Biden nationally 47-45%.
