Thousands Of Trucks Head To U.S. Mexico-Border

Thousands of participants say that they will head to the U.S.-Mexico border amid a sharp increase of attempted illegal alien crossings and an ongoing standoff over border enforcement between the state of Texas and the Biden administration. The news came as federal officials announced that 2023 saw the highest level of migrant encounters in American history.

The “Take Our Border Back” movement hopes to have 700,000 trucks drive to the southern border.

According to the group’s leaders, the plan will stop “globalists,” who they argue are sending migrants into the United States. “This is a biblical, monumental moment that’s been put together by God,” said one person involved in the plan.

Another said that the country was “besieged on all sides by dark forces of evil.” The convoy will begin early this week, with trucks leaving from Virginia Beach. The convoy will travel to Texas and will include further rallies in Texas, Arizona and California.

The effort has raised more than $90,000 to date. The convoy’s leaders called for “LAW ABIDING, freedom-loving Americans” to take part. The group hopes to “shed light on the obvious dangers posed by wide open Southern borders.”

Last month, the United States saw more than 300,000 migrant encounters, according to statistics from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

More than six million migrants have entered the United States since the start of the Biden administration in 2021.

Furthermore, a number of American cities have struggled with the increasing info of migrants. New York City has received more than 150,000 migrants in the past two years alone. Many of the migrants are currently being housed in city shelters, hotels and even a former airfield.

Several Democratic Party mayors and governors have called on the Biden administration to have a more substantive approach to the border.

Perhaps the most outspoken has been Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA), who said that the border should be secure. He compared the approximately 300,000 migrant encounters last month as the equivalent population of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
