Republican VP Nominee DELIVERS Truth

Young Americans “are becoming paupers in their own country” due to rising inflation and housing costs under the Biden-Harris administration, Republican vice presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) stated on Wednesday.

Speaking in Byron Center, Michigan, Vance highlighted the economic difficulties facing Americans, emphasizing that the younger generation is encountering challenges in the housing market that their parents and grandparents did not have to face.

“Americans, especially young people, are becoming paupers in their own country. If we don’t do better, our young generation, they’re not going to own anything, they’re not going to have anything, they’re going to be renters in the country that their parents and grandparents built. Inflation is a disaster,” Vance said.

The Republican vice presidential candidate and Ohio senator also criticized Michigan’s “failed leadership,” attributing it to the loss of thousands of jobs in the Great Lakes State. The GOP senator predicted that this job loss would lead to a strong voter turnout in favor of Republicans in the upcoming November elections.

“Michigan, people used to call it a blue wall state,” he said. “I think Michigan is a red wall state now because people are sick of losing their livelihoods and losing their jobs.”

Vance, who is running as former President Donald Trump’s running mate, stated that a key focus of the Trump-Vance administration would be reducing energy costs, which he argued would subsequently lower housing expenses. The former president expressed similar views in July when discussing the housing crisis under the Biden-Harris administration.

“It’s hard to get better when you have high energy prices,” Trump told a crowd of supporters in Iowa. “We’lhttps ://www.usinflationcalculator.com/inflation/current-inflation-rates/l get the prices way down and then the interest rates down and then the home builders will start building again, because nobody can get money from the bank because the interest rate’s high.”

Median home prices in the U.S. have surged dramatically, reaching a record high of $479,500 in the fourth quarter of 2022, according to Rocket Homes. By comparison, at the end of 2020, during the final months of the Trump administration, the median home price was $358,700.

Rent prices have also climbed by approximately 19% since 2019, as reported by The Washington Post, making it increasingly difficult for young Americans to save for the rising costs of homeownership.

Although inflation decreased to 2.9% last month, it remains higher than it was for most of Trump’s presidency. Inflation peaked at 9.1% in June 2022 before beginning to decline.
