Actor Learns NEW INFORMATION About Regan’s Early Life

‘SEVERE Political BREECH’ Claims Actor

Prior to agreeing to play a young Ronald “Dutch” Reagan in the film “Reagan,” I knew very little about the 40th president, said actor David Henrie. “However, as soon as I broke the news to my grandma, I started to realize just how legendary a figure Reagan was. I remember my grandma saying to me, “My baby, Ronald Reagan, was so handsome!”

Henrie notes that it was after that he saw how beloved Reagan was to the people. “Then, I started to see just how much Reagan was really loved. People would instantly start talking about how Reagan had impacted their lives when I told them that I had been cast as a young actor. Many people I told found this to be very charming, but it also made me realize how much pressure I would be under to play such a well-liked character.”

David Henrie goes on to say, “I play him from the beginning of his acting career to his days as a lifeguard. Reagan worked as a lifeguard at the Rock River swimming area in Lowell Park for seven summers, starting with his sophomore year of high school and continuing through the next seven years. He put in twelve hours a day, seven days a week, of labor from Memorial Day to Labor Day – isn’t that incredible?”

According to legend, he worked in Lowell Park and saved 77 lives. Reagan recorded the number of rescues he performed by notching a log for each time he helped a distressed swimmer escape the water. Reagan’s early years and environment influenced how he would become president. I was thrilled to portray Reagan, who went by the moniker “Dutch” from his early years, and to educate people about his life before becoming president, particularly to those who had little knowledge of him. It could be a good idea for my age to see the biography of the president dubbed “The Great Communicator,” who is credited with reaching across the aisle and dividing us.

At a time when our nation is clearly experiencing a severe political breach, civil discourse is necessary. Furthermore, we shouldn’t let our divergent emotions prevent us from bridging the gap. My goal is that our video will remind all Americans that our commonalities outweigh our differences.

In the movie, I’m one of three actors portraying Reagan.” Said Henrie, “Tommy Ragen opens with Reagan facing his first major life issue; I take up the mantle in his later teens; Dennis Quaid then plays Reagan in his Hollywood days, as governor of California, and finally as president.”
